A concept for a living (digital) community asset map that would show to the user key social hubs in a community: spaces for exchange and all the associated groups (formal and informal) that meet there. The audience, say a newcomer to the place or an isolated resident, to find people to connect with or spaces to build connections in.

Two pronged we were interested in how to also make visible the social value generated in these spaces, in a bid to protect them from potential re-development. We thought of this as the community rebuttal to developer led surveys which calculate sums around money and materials – deem demolition cheaper than refurbishment – not taking into account the loss of social capital, community wellbeing (which will then in turn cause financial costs to NHS services and more).
